USING THE DAILY ALARM

You can set one daily alarm to sound at the same time each day.  No
reminder message appears.

SETTING THE DAILY ALARM TIME

1.  Press (Clock symbol) [ALARM].  "ALARM" and the current alarm time
    appear.

2.  Press [ENTER].  The first hour digit flashes on the display.

3.  Enter the daily alarm time, and press [A] or [P] for an AM or PM hour.

    Notes:  Precede single-digit entries with a zero.

            If you make an incorrect entry, press (<) or (>) to move to
            the incorrect character and correct it.

4.  Press [ENTER] to store the alarm time.  (Clock symbol) appears on the
    bottom right of the display.  The daily alarm is turned on.

Note:  If the information you enter is invalid (for example, you enter 15
       for the hour), the previously stored time appears on the display
       with the first digit flashing.  Repeat Steps 3-4.

TURNING THE DAILY ALARM ON AND OFF

To turn the daily alarm on, press (Clock symbol) [ALARM] until (Clock
symbol) appears on the display.  To turn it off, press (Clock symbol)
[ALARM] until (Clock symbol) disappears from the display.

When the alarm is turned on, the EC-391 beeps for 30 seconds at the set
time, even if the EC-391 is turned off.

To silence the alarm sooner:

  If the EC-391 is turned on, press any key.

  If the EC-391 is turned off, press [0], [1], [4], [7], [<], or any of
  the main function keys.

Notes:  Because pressing any key turns off the alarm, the alarm might not
        sound if you are entering information precisely at the alarm time.

        The alarm sounds at the same time the next day, unless you turn it
        off.
