INSTALLING BATTERIES

  Remove the battery compartment cover.

  Insert three fresh AAA non-rechargeable batteries.

  Replace the battery compartment cover.

Make sure the cover is securely latched.  Within 30 seconds the display
will show Jan 1, 12:00 p.m. WE.  If not, check the direction, alignment
and freshness of the batteries.

In the following instructions, "Hold down" means press the button and do
not release it until indicated, usually by a double beep (2-3 seconds).

"Press" means push and release immediately (1 second or less).

BATTERIES

When your Voice Organizer battery icon (+-) appears on the display,
install three fresh, AAA alkaline (non-rechargeable) batteries.

Once the display screen goes blank, you will not be able to use your Voice
Organizer until you change the batteries.  You should remove the old
batteries.

Your memos, calendar, phone book, files, and expenses are safe even
without batteries.  Only the time and date may need to be set when
batteries are inserted.

WARNING:  Always remove the batteries when storing your organizer.

Changing the Batteries

  Press the STOP ([]) button to save the current time.

  Remove the battery compartment cover.

  Remove the old batteries and discard or recycle safely.

  Insert three fresh AAA non-rechargeable batteries.

  Replace the battery compartment cover.  Make sure the cover is securely
  latched.

RESETTING YOUR VOICE ORGANIZER

Data Safe Reset

If your Voice Organizer doesn't seem to be working, you can reset it
without losing your information.  Remove the battery compartment cover.
Simply remove one battery, wait 10 seconds, then replace the battery.

Data Destroyed Reset

If your Voice Organizer still does not work, or you want to erase
everything in it - all your information - remove a battery and wait 10
seconds.  Hold down the EDIT button while you replace the battery.
Continue to hold EDIT for 3 seconds until the display says "PRESSTOP."
Hold down the ERASE button until the display says "WAIT."
