Changing The Time Format

The organizer is preset to show both the home and world time in the 
12-hour format, but you can change this to the 24-hour format.

Note:  The time format you select appears in all time displays including
       those for the schedule and alarms.

Follow these steps to change the time format.

1.  From the main menu, select clock symbol.  The display shows the home 
    time screen.  If the organizer is currently set to the 12-hour format,
    AM or PM appears next to the time.

2.  To change the time format, press 12/24 so AM or PM disappears for the
    24-hour format or appears for the 12-hour format.

Setting/Viewing The Date and Time

Follow these steps to set the date and time.

Notes:  The organizer automatically displays the day of the week based on
        the date you enter.

        To keep the current setting in any of the following steps, simply
        press > to skip to the next setting.

        The organizer keeps track of the time in all other world time 
        zones based on the time (and using the display formats) you set 
        for your home time zone.

1. From the main menu, select the clock symbol.  The display shows the 
   home time screen with the set home city, day of the week, and date and
   time.  (After setting the date and time, see "Using Home/World Time" in 
   Faxback Doc. # 46221 to change the home city.)

2. Press TIME SET.  The month's first digit flashes.

3. Use the number keys to enter the month, date, and year.

Notes:  Precede all single-digit entries with a zero.  For example, to
        enter January 6, 1998, press 0 1 0 6 1 9 9 8.

        If you enter an incorrect character, repeatedly press < until the
        cursor covers the character, then enter the correct character.

   The hour's first digit flashes on the display.

4. Use the number keys to enter the hour and minute.

Note:  Precede all single-digit entries with a zero.  For example, to
       enter 1:05 AM, press 0 1 0 5.

       If the organizer is set to the 12-hour format, AM or PM flashes.
       Press A for AM or P for PM.

5. Press EXE to start the time.  SET! briefly appears, then the home time
   screen appears showing the date and time you set.

   Hint:  If you have an exact time reference, press EXE at the precise 
          time the seconds reach 0.

Note:  If you entered an invalid date or time, INPUT ERROR! briefly 
       appears, then the date and time reappear.  Correct the information,
       then press EXE again.

To view the local date and time at any time, select the clock symbol from
the main menu.  The display shows the home time screen, with the local 
date and time.

Changing To Daylight Saving Time

The organizer is preset not to display the time as Daylight Saving time,
but you can set the organizer to add 1 hour to the time for Daylight
Saving time.

Follow these steps to change to Daylight Saving time.

1. From the main menu, select the clock symbol.  The display shows the
   home time screen.  If the organizer is currently set to Daylight 
   Saving mode, DST appears.

2. Press SUMMER so DST appears to select Daylight Saving time (the hour
   advances by one), or so DST disappears to turn it off (the hour
   decreases by one).

Turning The Key Sound On and Off

The organizer is preset to sound a beep each time you press a key, but you
can turn this off.

To turn the key sound off, press SHIFT, then SPACE so the musical note
disappears.  To turn it back on, press SHIFT then SPACE so the musical 
note appears.
