and the Caller ID function is turned on (see "Caller ID" on Faxback

Storage Capacity

All records share the same memory. Each letter, number, space, or other
character you store uses 1 memory unit. For example, the word COMPANY has
7 letters and therefore uses 7 units.

Your EC-382 can store a total of 128,202 units of information in the Card
File, Confidential File, To Do List & Schedule, Daily Alarms, Speed Dial
List, Call Block List and Caller ID. This overall storage capacity includes
some memory overhead for each file, which varies with the file type.

To view the amount of memory remaining, press CARD FILE. The organizer
displays the number of available memory units for all functions.

           TYPE IN THE NAME OF
           A PERSON OR COMPANY

         NO. OF CARD FILES 15
         MEMORY USED 702
         MEMORY AVAILABLE 127500

Notes: As the amount of memory units available decreases, your EC-382 takes
       longer to store files.

If enough storage space is not available to store another record,
       you see:

              MEMORY IS FULL!

               TO CONTINUE
            PRESS ANY MODE KEY

You must delete unwanted or outdated records to free additional
storage space. See "Deleting a Record" on Faxback Doc. # 45494.

Using abbreviations lets you store more files.

number, or symbol (except when entering Call Block records).

Note: If you are entering or editing a record when an alarm sounds (see
"Daily Alarms" on Faxback Doc. # 45489), the EC-382 does not store
the changes. You must enter the information again.

The flashing "-" on the screen is called a "cursor." The cursor shows
where the next character typed will appear.

erent area code than the one you stored, the organizer automatically
