Kids Data Directory
(650-0537) Care and Maintenance Faxback Doc. # 45279

Your RadioShack Kid's Data Directory is an example of superior design and
craftsmanship. The following suggestions will help you care for the
directory so you can enjoy it for years.

Keep the directory dry. If it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately.
Liquids might contain minerals that can corrode the electronic circuits.

Handle the directory gently and carefully. Dropping it can damage circuit
boards and cases and can cause the directory to work improperly.

Use and store the directory only in normal temperature environments.
Temperature extremes can shorten the life of electronic devices, damage
batteries, and distort or melt plastic parts.

Keep the directory away from excessive dust and dirt, which can cause
  premature wear of parts.

Wipe the directory with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it looking new.
Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to
  clean the directory.

Use only fresh batteries of the recommended size and type. Always remove
old or weak batteries. They can leak chemicals that destroy electronic
  circuits.

Modifying or tampering with the directory's internal components can cause
a malfunction and might invalidate the directory's warranty. If your
directory is not performing as it should, take it to your local RadioShack
store for assistance.

Replacing The Battery

Your directory uses one CR-2032 3-volt lithium battery, such as RadioShack
Cat. No. 23-162, for power.

WARNING: Keep batteries out of the reach of young children. Swallowing a
          lithium battery can be fatal.

Follow these steps to replace the battery.

1. Turn off the organizer.

2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws on the battery
compartment cover. Then carefully lift off the cover.

3. Remove the old battery, then place the new battery in the compartment
with the positive side (+) facing up.

4. Replace the cover, then reinsert and tighten the screws.
