SETTING ALARM/RECORDING SHORT MESSAGES
Follow these steps to record up to four 8-second messages to sound at
times you specify or have the clock/planner sound a buzzer at times you
specify.
NOTE: If you have a message in the message center, you have clear it by
sliding VOICE ON/OFF to OFF before you use the alarm message
feature.
1. Slide VOICE ON/OFF to ON.
NOTE: 4 appears in the right corner of the display to indicate that
you can set up to 4 alarms or record 4 short messages.
2. Slide TIMER/CLOCK/ALARM to ALARM. The clock/planner displays 1 in
the top left corner to indicate you have selected message 1.
3. If you want to store a message other than message 1, press MSG SELECT
message 2, 3, or 4.
4. Press HR and MIN to set the hour and minute you want the message or
alarm to sound. Then press ALARM ON/OFF until ALARM ON appears
on the display.
5. Press RECORD. 0.8 appears on the display and the clock/planner begins
to count down. Speak in a strong voice from about 12 inches to record
your message.
NOTE: If you do not record a message, the clock/planner sounds a
buzzer at the alarm time.
6. To record a message for a different alarm time, repeat Steps 3-5.
7. Slide TIMER/CLOCK/ALARM to CLOCK.
At the set alarm times, the clock/planner repeatedly plays your message
(or sounds a tone if you did not record a message) for 1 minutes. Press
any button to silence the clock/planner. If you do not silence the clock/
planner, 4 minutes later it sounds again for 1 minute and repeats this
cycle.
NOTE: If you do not press a button to silence the alarm, the
clock/planner does not sound any of the other alarms during the
next 75 minutes.
The set the alarm to not sound again, slide TIMER/CLOCK/ALARM
to ALARM. Then press MSG SELECT to select the alarm number
to change. Press ALARM ON/OFF until ALARM ON changes to ALARM.
CHECKING THE ALARM TIMES AND MESSAGES
Slide TIMER/CLOCK/ALARM to ALARM. The preset alarm time and the previous
selected message number appear on the display. Press MSG SELECT to view
the alarm times for the other three messages.
Follow these steps to review recorded messages.
1. Slide TIMER/CLOCK/ALARM to CLOCK.
2. Press MSG SELECT, repeatedly if necessary, to choose the message you
want to review. The display flashes for about 10 seconds with a
steady message number on the top of the display if there is a message
in the memory space.
3. When the display is flashing, press ALARM ON/OFF to play back the
recorded message. The display returns to steady when playback ends.
4. To review the next message, repeat Steps 2-3.
ADJUSTING THE VOLUME
To adjust the message's volume, slide the volume control to the desired
volume level.
CLEARING ALL THE RECORDED MESSAGES
To clear all the recorded messages, slide VOICE/ON/OFF to OFF.
RECORDING PLAYING A LONG MESSAGE
You can use your clock/planner as a message center to record a 32-second
memo.
NOTE: You must clear all recorded 8-second memo.
Follow these steps to record and play your memos.
1. Set TIMER/CLOCK/ALARM to CLOCK.
2. To ensure all the recorded messages are cleared, slide VOICE/ON/OFF
to OFF then slide it to ON.
3. Press RECORD. The indicator lights and the display counts down for
32 seconds. Speak in a strong voice to record your message.
NOTE: The indicator flashes when the timer countdown reaches 7
seconds.
4. To stop recording before the timer countdown reaches zero, press
RECORD again.
5. Press any button to play the message.
NOTE: You can play the message again by pressing any button at least
3 seconds after the message plays to end when the indicator
goes off.
6. To turn off the message center, slide VOICE ON/OFF to OFF.
NOTE: After you press RECORD and leave a memo message in the message
center, you cannot change any alarm or use the timer until
you set VOICE ON/OFF to OFF.
USING THE TIMER
You can use your clock/planner as a countup or a countdown timer.
USING THE COUNTDOWN TIMER
Follow these steps to use the countdown timer.
1. If you want the clock/planner to sound a message when the timer counts
down to zero, follow the steps in "Setting Alarm/Recording Short
Messages" to record the messages.
2. Slide TIMER/CLOCK/ALARM to TIMER. TIMER appears on the display.
3. Press RESET if necessary to reset the display to zero.
4. Press HR, MIN, and SEC to set the countdown time you desire. The
maximum countdown time you desire. The maximum countdown time is
23 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds.
5. Press START/STOP to start the countdown. TIMER ON appears on the
display.
6. When the countdown reaches zero, the clock/planner begins to count
up and plays message 1 or sounds the alarm if you have not recorded
message 1.
USING THE COUNT UP TIMER
Follow these steps to use the timer as a countup timer.
1. Slide TIMER/CLOCK/ALARM to TIMER. TIMER appears on the display.
2. Press RESET if necessary to reset the display to zero.
3. Press START/STOP to start the countup. TIMER ON appears on the
display. When the timer reaches 23 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds
it starts counting again from 0.
4. Press START/STOP to stop the timer.
