Your Radio Shack Digital Voice Memo Recorder is an example of superior
design and craftsmanship. The following suggestions will help you care
for the recorder so you can enjoy it for years.
Keep the recorder dry. If it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately.
Use and store the recorder only in normal temperature environments.
Handle the recorder gently and carefully. Don't drop it!
Keep the recorder away from dust and dirt.
Wipe the recorder with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it looking new.
Modifying or tampering with the recorder's internal components can cause
a malfunction and might invalidate its warranty. If your recorder is not
performing as it should, take it to your local Radio Shack store for
assistance.
REPLACING THE BATTERIES
Your Digital Voice Memo Recorder comes with four type 357A button-cell
batteries for power. When the recording sound weakens or the display
dims, replace the batteries. We recommend Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-105.
IMPORTANT: The recorded messages will be lost when the batteries are
removed. We urge you to write down your important messages
before you remove the batteries.
Follow these steps to replace the batteries.
1. Slide off the battery compartment cover in the direction of the arrow
and lift the top end up.
2. Remove the four batteries.
3. Handling the new batteries by their edges, place them in the battery
compartment with their positive (+) sides up.
4. Replace the cover.
5. Press RESET on the back of the Memo Recorder with the tip of a
straightened paper clip.
NOTE: Reset the Memo Recorder each time you replace the batteries.
CAUTIONS: Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type.
Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly. Never
bury or burn batteries.
WARNING: Keep batteries out of reach of children. Swallowing a button-
cell battery could be fatal.
