Telephone Number and Address Directory

Each name in the telephone number and address directory can be up to 96
characters long.  Each phone number, and any other information you include
with it (such as address, birthday, and so on) can be up to 90 characters
long.

Storing a Phone Number

1.  Press (Tele.Symbol) to enter the telephone directory mode.  TEL appears
    on the display.

    The display shows the number of entries currently stored and the number
    of marked entries. See "Marker" in "Enhanced Functions" for information
    on marking entries.

This is an example of the display and it indicates that no entries (marked
or unmarked) yet exist.

2.  Press [DATA] to enter the input mode.  [IN] appears at the lower right
    corner of the display while you are in the input mode.  The prompt
    "INPUT NAME:?" appears on the main display.

3.  Use the alphabet keys to enter a name.  You can enter additional infor-
    mation after the name, such as a birthday.  Then, press [SET].  Enter
    the telephone number or address, and press [SET] again.

4.  "INPUT NAME:?" appears on the display to prompt you for another entry.
    Enter another phone number, or press [DATA] to exit the input mode.
    [IN] disappears.

The EC-319 stores the entries in alphabetical order.
