Voice Recognition

Your Pocket Organizer will respond to your voice for entering and reviewing
appointments in your calendar and entering and retrieving phone numbers in
your directory. To familiarize it with the way you normally say words, your
Pocket Organizer will prompt you with a double beep to say 28 words:

Sunday zero seven thirty
Monday one eight forty-five
Tuesday two nine no
Wednesday three ten weekly
Thursday four eleven daily
Friday five twelve a.m.
Saturday six fifteen p.m.

Your Pocket Organizer will recognize your voice best when you set up Voice
Recognition by saying the words the same way you'll say them when setting
appointments - and at the same volume and distance from your Pocket Organi-
zer. The best rule of thumb is, "SPEAK NATURALLY (BUT CLEARLY!)."

Setting Up Voice Recognition

Sit in a quiet room and hold your Pocket Organizer about 6 - 8 inches from
your mouth.

From the current time and date display, hold down the Edit button until you
hear the double beep. "SATURDAY" blinks on the display.

Hold down the Rec button and say the words that appear on the display one
at a time after you hear the double beep prompt for each word. Your Pocket
Organizer will take you through the list twice to confirm the sound of your
voice.

Changing One Word

You can easily change the way you say a word for better voice recognition.

Hold down the Edit button until you hear the double beep.

Use < or > to find the word you want to change.

Hold down the Rec button while you say the word.

When the display flashes the word again, repeat it. Then "SAVED" scrolls
across the screen.

Changing All Words For Better Voice Recognition

If your Pocket Organizer misses a lot of your commands, you may want to
change the way you say quite a few words. To erase them all and start over,
follow these quick steps.

Hold down the Edit button until you hear the double beep.

Hold sown the Erase button until you hear the double beep. (Your phone
numbers and memos are safe!)

When the word "SATURDAY" flashes, hold down the Rec button while you re-
record the way you say all 28 words.

NOTES: You could say "morning" and "afternoon", rather than a.m. and p.m.

You can set up voice recognition in any language.
