Clearing the Memory

Before you operate the EC-365 for the first time, reset it to clear any
files that might already be stored in its memory.

WARNING! The following procedure erases all data stored in memory.  Perform
         this operation only when you want to delete all data and re-
         initialize the EC-365.  Keep a copy of all information stored in
         your executive planner in case it is lost, stolen or physically
         damaged.  It is advisable to avoid X-ray and magnetic fields, such
         as airport security systems.  This can cause scrambling or loss of
         the planner's memory.

To clear the planner's memory, do the following:

1.  Lift the planner from its protective jacket, then turn it over.

2.  While pressing and holding ENTER, press RESET on the back of the unit
    with a thin, pointed object, such as a straightened paper clip.

3.  Release ENTER and RESET, and the display appears with all segments lit.

4.  Press RESET again to clear the display.  The clock/calendar display
    appears.
