Using the Alarm

You can store a message and set the alarm to sound at the time you want.
When the alarm is turned on, the diary beeps for about 20 seconds at the
alarm time (even if the diary is off).

If the diary is on, press any key to silence the alarm sooner. If the diary
is off, press ON/OFF to silence the alarm. (This will not turn on the diary,
so press ON/OFF again to turn it on.) Select (ALARM) from the main menu,
then press SET to see the alarm message or to check the alarm time.

NOTES:  The alarm sounds at the same time the next day, unless you turn it
        off.

        Because pressing any key turns off the alarm, the alarm might not
        sound if you are entering information at the set alarm time.

Entering the Alarm Time and Message

1.  To use the alarm, select (ALARM) from the main menu and press SET.

2.  Press EDIT. The first letter of the message flashes.

3.  Type in your desired message (up to 24 characters), then press SET.
    The first digit of the alarm time flashes.

4.  Enter the alarm time.

NOTE:  When you enter the alarm time, you do not need to press SHIFT before
       you press the numbers.

5.  Press AM-PM for AM or PM if you are in the 12-hour format.

6.  Press SET. The (alarm symbol) appears, showing that the alarm is set.

Setting the Alarm

When you enter the alarm time, pressing SET automatically sets the alarm.
To turn off the alarm, be sure to select the alarm function (select [ALARM]
from the main menu and press SET). Then press (MUSIC NOTE). (Alarm symbol)
disappears.

To turn on the alarm at any time, select the alarm function (alarm symbol)
and press (MUSIC NOTE).  (alarm symbol) appears.
