PREPARATION
INSTALLING THE MAIN BATTERIES
Your organizer uses two AAA batteries (not supplied) for power. For the
best performance and longest life, we recommend alkaline batteries, such
as RadioShack Cat. No. 23-555.
CAUTIONS:
Always use fresh batteries of the required size and type.
Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries
(standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of
different capacities.
1. Use a screwdriver to remove the screw from the MAIN BATTERY DOOR.
2. Slide the battery door in the direction of the arrows.
3. Insert the batteries as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and -)
marked inside the compartment.
4. Replace the MAIN BATTERY DOOR and tighten the screw.
NOTE: When the display dims or the infrared beam feature does not work,
replace the main batteries.
REMOVING THE BACKUP BATTERY'S INSULATION SLIP
Before you use the organizer, remove the protective insulation slip inside
the backup battery compartment.
To remove the insulation slip, gently pull it out.
NOTE: You do not need to open the BACKUP BATTERY DOOR to remove the slip.
RESETTING THE MEMORY
You must reset organizer's memory before you use it the first time. You
can also reset the memory when you want to clear all records you have
already stored, when the organizer is not working properly, or when you
have forgotten your password.
CAUTION: The reset procedure clears all records, the date, time, daily
alarm settings, and the password from the organizer's memory.
To reset the organizer, use a pointed object such as a straightened paper
clip, to press RESET on the bottom of the organizer for more than 1
seconds.
OPENING/CLOSING THE COVER
The organizer's keys and display are protected by a cover to avoid damage
or unwanted input. To open the cover, press the tab on the front of the
organizer and lift the cover.
To close the cover, simply press it down until it snaps closed.
