Secret Function

To protect confidential information, you can place it in a "secret"
(password-protected) area in memory.  This area can be accessed only when
you enter the preset password.

Assigning The Password

You assign one password at a time.

CAUTION:  If you should forget the password,  the only way to clear the
          present password is to perform the all clear procedure,
          clearing all the information from the EC-319.

To assign the password:

1.  Press [DATA] to enter the input mode.

2.  Press the key symbol.  The prompt "INPUT PASSWORD" appears on the
    display.

3.  Enter a password of up to 80 characters long.

4.  Press the key symbol.

Changing The Password

1.  Enter the secret area using the current password.

2.  Press [AC] and the key symbol to display the current password.

3.  Press [DATA] [SHIFT] [EDIT].  Then enter the new password.

4.  Press the key symbol.
