INITIALIZING THE EC-331

Initialize the EC-331 before you begin entering information.  This
restores the security code to 000 and clears all stored information.  Use
either of the following methods to initialize the EC-331.

Method 1

1.  Press and hold down ERASE.

2.  While you hold down ERASE, use a straightened paper clip to press
    RESET on the back of the EC-331.

3.  While you continue to hold down ERASE, release RESET.  A test pattern
    appears.

4.  Release ERASE.  After about 40 seconds, the EC-331 turns off.

Method 2

1.  Remove both batteries.

2.  Use a straightened paper clip to press RESET.

3.  Replace both batteries.
