This unit lets you keep track of the current time in your hometown, and in
30 time zones around the world.

HOME TIME AND WORLD TIME

Home Time shows the current time and date in your hometown while World Time shows the current time in any one of 30 time zones.

To Display Home Time or World Time

Press TIME to enter the Timekeeping Mode, then press TIME to switch between Home Time and World Time.

    If this date is highlighted in the Calendar Mode (Faxback Doc. #
    31620), the day of the week appears as <<SAT>>.

HOME TIME SETTINGS

For the unit to keep the correct time, you must first set the zone, date,
and time for your Home Time.

To set the Home Time Zone

1.  Press TIME to display Home Time.

2.  Press FUNCTION.

3.  Highlight "Zone Change," then press EXE.

    The selected time zone flashes.

4.  Use < or > to select time zone.

5.  When the time zone you want flashes, press EXE.

To set the Time and Date

Important!  Be sure that you select your Home Time zone before setting the
            time and date.

1.  Press TIME to display Home Time.

2.  Press FUNCTION.

3.  Highlight "Time Set," then press EXE.

4.  Input the time and date.

    To set 10:30 AM, August 9, 1995 input: 1 0 3 0 0 8 0 9 1 9 9 5.

    You can also use < or > to move the cursor, and then input the desired
    number.

    If you are using 12-hour format, press AM/PM to specify AM or PM.

5.  After you finish, press EXE.

    Pressing EXE resets the seconds to 00.

To Change the Date Format

1.  Press TIME to display Home Time.

2.  Press FUNCTION.

3.  Highlight "Date Format," then press EXE.

    The following are available date formats

    Month/Day/Year - SEP/16/1995
    Day/Month/Year - 16/SEP/1995
    Year/Month/Day - 1995/9/16

    This format is used for all displays.

WORLD TIME ZONE SETTING

The time zone you select is the first one that appears whenever you
display World Time.

Important!  Make all Home Time settings first!

To Set the World Time Zone

1.  Press TIME to display World Time.

2.  Use < or > to find the time zone you want.

*   World Time is automatically kept based on Home Time

OTHER TIME AND DATE SETTINGS

You can specify 12-hour of 24-hour timekeeping format, and standard time
or daylight savings time.

To Switch between 12 hour and 24-hour Timekeeping

1.  Press TIME to display Home Time or World Time.

2.  Press FUNCTION.

3.  Highlight "12/24 Hours," then press EXE.

    12-hour time is 00:00 to 12:59, with AM and PM indications.  When you
    select this format, always use the AM/PM key to specify AM or PM.

    24-hour time is 00:00 to 23:59.  You do not need to specify AM or PM.

To Switch between Standard Time and Daylight Savings Time

1.  Press TIME to display Home Time or World Time.

    Display the time you want to switch between Standard Time and Daylight
    Savings Time.

2.  Press FUNCTION.

3.  Highlight "DST ON/OFF" then press EXE.

    The indicator "DST" appears when Daylight Savings Time is selected.

    Repeat these steps for each time zone you want to change.

ALARM MODE

If set, the alarm sounds for 20 seconds at the same time each day.  An
hourly time signal beeps on every hour.

To Enter the Alarm Mode

    Highlight ALARM on the Main Menu, then press EXE.

"Home" or "World" appears in the upper left of the display to indicate
whether the alarm is set for Home Time or a World Time zone.

To Set an Alarm Time

1.  Enter the Alarm Mode.

2.  Press FUNCTION.

3.  Highlight "Alarm Time Set," then press EXE.

4.  Input the time you want.

    To set 7:30 AM input: 0 7 3 0.

    You can also use < or > to move the cursor, and then input.

    If you are using 12-hour format be sure to press AM/PM to specify AM
    or PM.

5.  After you finish, press EXE.

    EXE turns on the alarm.

To Set an Alarm Zone

1.  Enter the Alarm Mode.

2.  Press FUNCTION.

3.  Highlight "Alarm Zone Set," then press EXE.

4.  Use < or > to move the selected zone.

    The alarm sounds when the time in the World Time zone reaches the
    setting you specify.

5.  When the alarm zone you want flashes, press EXE.

    EXE turns on the alarm.

    Use the procedure under "To Set an Alarm Time" to set the alarm time.

To Turn the Alarm and Hourly Time Signal On and Off

1.  Enter the Alarm Mode.

2.  Press FUNCTION.

3.  Highlight "Sound," then press EXE.

4.  Highlight "Daily Alm" (daily alarm) or "Time Sgnl" (hourly time
    signal).

5.  Use < or > to move the ON/OFF highlighting, then press EXE.

To Stop the Alarm after It Starts to Sound

Press any key.
