After pressing REMOTE CONTROLLER once to enter the TV Remote Control Mode,
use LEFT ARROW and RIGHT ARROW to move the highlighting on the display to
the function that you want to perform, and then press EXE to perform the
highlighted function.

When you press EXE to perform a TV Remote Control Mode function, make
sure that the upper right corner is pointed at the TV.

The following table explains each of the TV remote control functions in
detail.

Display Symbol        Operation

TV/PW                 Pressing EXE switches the TV on and off.

CH                    Pressing EXE switches to the next higher channel.
                      Holding down EXE continually changes the channel.

CH                    Pressing EXE switches to the next lower channel.
                      Holding down EXE continually changes the channel.

CH                    Pressing EXE raises the volume
                      Holding down EXE continually raises the volume.

                      Pressing EXE lowers the volume.
                      Holding down EXE continually lowers the volume.

TV/VCR                Pressing EXE switches the TV between its TV and VCR
                      modes.

                      For televisions that do not have a TV/Video
                      switching function, this operation may switch
                      teletext, etc., on and off.

The TV/PW indicator on the display changes to PW when Secret Sender is
sending a control signal.

Using Direct Channel Selection (TV Mode only)

In addition to using the UP ARROW CH and DOWN ARROW CH icons to change
channels, you can also input a number to jump directly to the channel you
want.  Use the following procedure for direct channel selection.

1.  Press REMOTE CONTROLLER once to enter the TV Remote Control Mode.

2.  Input the number to select the channel you want.

3.  Press EXE.

Using the VCR Remote Control Mode

After pressing REMOTE CONTROLLER twice to enter the VCR Remote Control
Mode, use UP ARROW, DOWN ARROW, LEFT ARROW, and RIGHT ARROW to move the
highlighting on the display to the function that you want to perform,
and then press EXE to perform the highlighted function.

When you press EXE to perform a VCR Remote Control Mode function, make
sure that the upper right corner is pointed at the VCR.

The following table explains each of the VCR remote control functions in
detail.

Display Symbol                      Operation

VCR/PW                Pressing EXE switches the VCR on and off.

UP ARROW CH           Pressing EXE switches to the next higher channel.
                      Holding down EXE continually changes the channel.

DOWN ARROW CH         Pressing EXE switches to the next lower channel.
                      Holding down EXE continually changes the channel.

UP ARROW VOL          Pressing EXE raises the TV volume.
                      Holding down EXE continually raises the TV volume.

DOWN ARROW VOL        Pressing EXE lowers the TV volume.
                      Holding down EXE continually lowers the TV volume.

TV VCR                Pressing EXE switches the VCR between its TV and VCR
                      modes.

DOUBLE LEFT ARROW     Pressing EXE starts the rewind operation.
RIGHT ARROW           Pressing EXE starts the playback operation.

DOUBLE RIGHT ARROW    Pressing EXE starts the fast forward operation.

SQUARE                Pressing EXE stops tape movement.

DOUBLE RECTANGLE      Pressing EXE pauses tape movement.

LARGE DOT             Pressing EXE starts the record operation.
                      First, a message appears asking "VCR Record?"
                      Use LEFT ARROW and RIGHT ARROW to select "Yes"
                      (start recording) or "No" (cancel recording) and
                      then press EXE.

The VCR/PW indicator on the display changes to PW when Secret Sender is
sending a control signal.
