Secret Sender can produce display messages in any one of ten languages:
English, Spanish, Italian, German, French, Danish, Swedish, Dutch,
Finnish, and Portuguese.  All of the display messages shown in the manual
are in English.

Fortune Telling and Match Maker mode messages are displayed only when the
display message language is set to English.

Features and Functions

Telephone Directory Modes         Keep names, phone numbers, and
                                  addresses. There are two storage areas,
                                  so you can keep school/business and
                                  personal data separate.  You can also
                                  include fun faces of the people whose
                                  names and addresses you store.

Schedule Mode                     Stores the date, time, and type of each
                                  appointment.  You can select icons to
                                  indicate each appointment at a glance.

Calendar Mode

Displays the calendar for any month from January, 1901, to December, 2099.
You can specify holidays for highlighting.

Data Memo "Diary" Mode            Stores notes and special thoughts. 
                                  Diary entries consist of a memo name
                                  and the memo's contents.

Secret Memory Area                Stores your private thoughts you wish to
                                  keep confidential.  None can gain access
                                  to the Secret Memory Area without
                                  knowing your password.

Timekeeping Mode                  Home Time displays the current time
                                  where you are.  World Time shows the
                                  time in any of 29 zones around the
                                  globe.  You can use 24-hour format, and
                                  can even specify daylight saving time.

Alarm Mode                        Lets you set alarms to go off every
                                  hour, or for a single time each day.
                                  You can also set the Schedule Alarm and
                                  control the key input tone.

Conversion Mode                   Helps you compare US dollar values
                                  against six foreign currencies (monies).

Fortune Telling Mode              Once you have entered your birthday, you
                                  can check your fortune today, or for any
                                  day.  Have fun telling your friend's
                                  fortune too.

Match Maker Mode                  Tells you whether or not you are
                                  compatible with that special someone.

Remote Control Modes              Let you use Secret Sender for remote
                                  control of your TV or VCR.

Magic Beam Mode                   Makes it possible to communicate with
                                  another Secret Sender using infrared
                                  light.

Calculator Mode                   A 10-digit calculator performs most
                                  common numerical operations including
                                  percents, square roots and memory.

Data Communication Function       Exchanges data with another unit.  To
                                  communicate with a friend, you'll
                                  need an optional communication cable
                                  (Cat. No. 65-137, available by special
                                  order) to connect one Secret Sender to
                                  another.

The FCC Wants You to Know

Note:  This equipment complies with the limits for a Class B digital
       device as specified in Part 15 of FCC Rules.  These limits provide
       reasonable protection against radio and TV interference in a
       residential area.  However, your equipment might cause TV or radio
       interference even when it is operating properly.  To eliminate
       interference, you can try one or more of the following corrective
       measures:

           Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.

           Increase the distance between the equipment and the radio or
           TV.

           Consult your local Radio Shack store or an experienced radio/TV
           technician if the problem still exists.

           You must use the specified cable with this equipment.
