The first shipment of this new model has a minor glitch.  If the user
enters a password to put the unit in lock mode and then goes into the phone
directory or schedule function, the display will indicate the unit is
locked and prompt for the password.  If the password is entered and the
user then tries to enter a new record, the alpha keys return numbers
instead of letters.  The problem can be solved by going to the lock
function to enter the password, instead of entering it in the schedule or
phone directory mode.  The o/m and quick reference label will indicate
using the lock function to turn the password on and off and the operation
will be corrected in the second shipment.  The box for the corrected units
will have a 'a' suffix and the unit will have a blue date code sticker of
'9A5'.  The first batch will have a white date code sticker of '7A5'.
