Removing the Insulating Strip

Before you operate the EC-360, slide the battery compartment cover in the
direction of the arrow and pull out the strip.

Turning On the EC-360

Press ON/MENU to turn on the calculator. RADIO SHACK appears on the
display for about 2 seconds, then 0 appears. This indicates that the
EC-360 is in the calculator mode.

Resetting the EC-360

Resetting the EC-360 is a two-step procedure. First, it clears the memory,
then it lets you select the date and time formats and set the local time
zone, current date, and local time.

NOTES: We recommend you reset the EC-360 before you use it the first time.
This clears out all random information previously stored in memory
and insures you start with the most memory space available.

You can also reset the EC-360 when it does not work properly or
when you want to erase all stored information when it is unused or
        outdated.

You can change the time format, time zone, current date, and local
time without going through the resetting procedure.

Follow these steps to reset the EC-360:

1. Using a ball-point pen or straightened paper clip, press RESET on the
back of the EC-360. RESET=Y/N appears and N flashes on the display.

2. If you do not want to reset the EC-360, while N flashes on the
display, press ENTER. The EC-360 exits the resetting procedure
and 0 appears on the display.

NOTES: Resetting the EC-360 deletes all stored information.

You can set the date format only when you select Y to reset the
        EC-360.

If you want to reset the EC-360, press left arrow to select Y then
press ENTER. All the stored information is cleared. The preset
MM-DD-YYYY (month-day-year) date format appears and 1 flashes on
        the display.

3. To select the displayed MM-DD-YYYY date format, press ENTER.

To change to the DD-MM-YYYY (day-month-year) date format, press right
    arrow then ENTER.

When you press ENTER, the selected date format is stored and SET=12/24
appears on the display with 12 flashing.

4. To select the 12-hour format, press ENTER.

To change to the 24-hour time format, press right arrow so 24 flashes,
    then press ENTER.

When you press ENTER, the selected time format is stored and ALASKA 1
(the first time zone) appears on the display.

5. To select the displayed time zone, press ENTER.

NOTE: When you press ENTER, the EC-360 stores the displayed time zone and
the default date and time appear with the first digit flashing.

To change the time zone, press down arrow or up arrow to scroll
through the list of countries/states (see "Data Bank Notes") until the
country for your local time zone appears on the display, then press
    ENTER.

NOTE: When only down or up arrow appears on the display, you can only
scroll in that direction. When both down and up arrows appear, you
       can scroll in either direction.

distance telephone dialing codes appear on the display, one at a time and
