CT-351 (170-1601) Memory Dialing Faxback Doc. # 8871

The memory-dialing features lets you store up to 50 telephone numbers. You
can dial a number stored in memory by entering a two-digit code (01-48) or
a name (up to 15 characters) you assign to the number.

Note: Each stored telephone number can contain up to 30 digits.

Storing a Number and Name

Follow these steps to store a phone number and a name for the phone number.

1. Press and hold down CLR to clear the display.

2. Enter the telephone number you want to store.

3. If you want to enter a name for the number, press ALPHA. ALPHA appears
    on the display.

If you do not want to assign a name to the number, go to Step 6.

4. Find the key that has the letter you want to enter. Then press the key
once to enter the first letter on the key, twice to enter the second
letter, and three times to enter the third letter.

In about 2 seconds, ALPHA flashes once and the phone stores the selected
letter. You can also press * to immediately store the letter.

Notes:

* If the letter you want to select is the second or third letter on the
key, you must press the key within about 2 seconds after the first
press. Otherwise, the phone automatically stores whatever letter is
   currently displayed.

*  Press 0 to enter a space.

* If you make a mistake, press CLR to erase the last letter. OR, hold
sown CLR to clear the entire display. Then enter the correct letter.

5. Repeat Step 4 to enter the rest of the name.

6. Press STO. STORE and number of the next empty memory location appear
    on the display.

Note: The next empty memory location does not appear for the first number
you store because the phone assumes location 1.

7. Press STO again to store the number (and name). Or, enter a two-digit
memory location number (01-48) to store the information in another
memory location. STORED appears on the display for about 4 seconds to
confirm that the information was stored.

If you do not press a button within about 15 seconds, the previous display
appears and the phone does not store the number. Return to Step 6.

Notes:

* If you try to store a phone number when the phone is locked, LOCKED
   appears on the display.

* If you try to store another number when all memories are full, NO SPACE
appears on the display. See "Clearing a Memory Location."

* If you try to store a number in a memory location that already contains
a number or name, REPLACE CONTENT? appears on the display. Press STO
within about 8 seconds to replace the previously stored information with
the new. If you do not press STO within about 8 seconds, STORE NOT DONE
appears and the name or number returns to the display. Return to Step 6.

* You can dial the number in Memory Location 48 even when the phone is
locked. Use it to store an emergency number.

* Memory Location 49 contains your phone's number. You cannot store a
   number in this location.

* Memory Location 00 is reserved for the redial number.
