Your Nokia 282 phone has the following controls:
[OK] - Confirms and selects choices on display. finds a Phone
Book entry by name.
[MENU] - Enters the menu.
[SEND] - Dials the phone number on the display. Answers a call.
[SCROLL KEYS] - Scroll through menu functions and Phone Book. Adjust
earpiece volume during a call. Hold for continuous
scrolling.
[PWR] - A long press turns the phone ON or OFF. A short press
stops the phone's ringing without answering the call.
[END] - Ends the call. When not in a call, exits the current
function and clears the display. A long press activates
Keyguard (press MENU * to deactivate).
[PROFILES] - Selects a profile (group of preset sound settings).
During a call, adjusts earpiece volume.
[CLR] - Erases characters or clears display. Back steps one menu
level.
RETRACTABLE ANTENNA - (not visible) Extends fully during calls.

Answer Calls - Press [SEND] or open the cover. Active Cover
must be set to ON!
Emergency 9 Call - Press and hold [9] for about two seconds.
Emergency 9 Dialing must be set to ON!
End a Call - Press [END] or close the cover.
Keyguard Activate or - Press [menu] [*].
Deactivate
Last 15 Dialed Numbers - With clear idle display, press [SEND] then
[\/]. Press [SEND] again to dial displayed
number.
Last Number Redial - With clear idle display, press [SEND] [SEND].
Make a Call - Enter the phone number. Press [SEND].
One-Touch Dial - Press and hold a key (1-8), for about two
seconds. One-touch dialing must be set to ON!
PINCALL Activate - Enter [*#PINCALL#], then PIN code. Press
[OK].
PINCALL Deactivate - Enter [*#PINCALL#]. Press [OK].
Profile - Press [.)))] repeatedly to reach the profile
you want. Press [OK].
Quick Save - Enter the complete phone number, then press
[OK]. Enter the name. Press [OK] twice.
Scroll Phone Book Entries - with clear idle display, press [\/] or [/\]
(repeatedly).
Speed Dial - Enter the location number (1-75). Press
[SEND].
Stop Incoming Call Ringing - Give [END] a short press while ringing (this
does not answer the call).
Switch ON/OFF - Give [PWR] a long press.
Volume Adjust - During a call, give [.)))] a short press to
increase, or a long press to decrease.

Backstep One Level - Press [CLR].
Exit Menu - Press and hold [CLR].
Scroll through Menu - Press [MENU] then [\/] or [/\].
Select a submenu or Option - Press [OK].

press END at any time except during a call (unless you want to hang
