A systems are those operated by an independent company
(sometimes called the non-wireline carrier), while B systems
are operated by the local telephone company (sometimes called
             the wireline carrier).

             C Scan

Your Motorola cellular telephone has been equipped with a
special level of A/B System Selection called C Scan. This
feature will limit the systems on which you can inadvertently
operate and thus minimize billing problems.

If you review the roam characteristics of your phone with the
[RCL], [*] sequence, C SCAn will be the first choice which
displays if you have at least one negative System I.D.
entered. Repeatedly pressing [#] or [*] will scroll through
the other five System Selection choices as shown above. You
may press [RCL] to select an alternate choice when it
displays. Your choice will remain in effect until you turn
off your telephone. On every power-up cycle, the telephone
will automatically revert back to the C Scan mode of
             operation.

When No Svc blinks, it indicates either that you are in an
area that cannot give you service due to the C Scan mode or
an area where no cellular service is available. In this
case, you may select another level of A/B System Selection as
described above. If you have selected Standard Preference or
Invert Preference and No Svs is on, this means that you are
in a true No Service area where cellular service is not
             available.

A steady illumination of Roam indicates roaming on home-type
system; a blinking roam indicates roaming on a non-home type
system. Contact your Cellular Service Provider for more
             information on roaming.

Two System Your cellular telephone is equipped with a feature that
Registra- allows you to maintain two telephone numbers from two
tion different system operators. Both are designated as your home
system, but are accessed separately. At the time your phone
was installed, you elected whether to enable this feature and
which two systems would be treated as home systems.

Your phone can only be active in one of the two home systems
at any time. Calls will be placed and can be received using
the active system only. To determine which system is active,
press [RCL], [#] to display the number on which your phone is
             operating.

To operate with this number, press [END CLR]. To select the
other phone number, press [RCL],[#],[RCL]. The original
telephone number will disappear from the display and the new
number will appear. When you have finished viewing, press
             [END CLR].

Status Status review permits you to scroll through selected features
Review for reference.

To review status, press [FCN], [0], [9], [RCL]. Press [*] to
scroll through the non-standard settings selected.
