Nokia 2160 Cellular Telephone
(170-1207) Additional Features Faxback Doc. # 48831

Additional features now available on your Nokia 2160 Series Cellular
Telephone are as follows:

  Enhanced Full Rate Codec (ACELP).

  OTAA (Over The Air Activation).

Life Timer -- enables phone life cycle tracking in service. This timer
  can not be reset.

Calling Card Feature has been expanded to allow selections of A, B, C,
and D with the option to choose the order in which programmed numbers
  are sent.

SMS One Touch Callback -- this feature now allows the user to edit the
callback number in an SMS message if, for example, an area code needs to
  be added.

Keyguard improvements have been made to show the system name in the idle
display. The text has been changed to lock the keys, with unlock on the
soft key to instruct the user how to deactivate this function.

Calling Party Name has been added. This allows the calling party name
to be sent in addition to the number. If the number is stored in the
phone's memory, the name stored will override the calling party name
  being sent from the switch.

PSIDs and RSIDs will be supported, which supports autonomous
functionality for wireless business systems, i.e. PBX functionality,
wireless adjunct, and residential cordless functionality. The phase II
software also provides a menu item in system selection to search for
autonomous systems, there after registering automatically the next time
the user enters a private system. The user can also make a call in the
public network with a long press of the MENU softkey.
