Welcome to Sprint PCS.

We've built our new network from the ground up to give you what we believe
you really want from a wireless phone company:  clear sound, private
conversations and time-saving features.  But, Sprint PCS also has the
potential to do something even more far-reaching -- to simply your life.
Our advanced technology is designed to grow with your communication needs
so that, one day, you will be able to rely entirely on your Sprint PCS
Phone to stay connected.

This guide will introduce you to our technology and your new phone through
easy-to-follow instructions.  However, we realize you'd probably rather
not spend your time reading a manual, so we're always happy to help you in
person.  Just stop by any Sprint PCS Center or call Sprint PCS Customer
Care at 1-888-211-4PCS (4727).

Getting to know your phone.

1.  Red Light:  Illuminates when [PWR] is pressed and when you have
                incoming calls and messages.

2.  Volume Key:  Lets you scroll through menu options and adjust the
                 earpiece and ringer volumes.  To  adjust the earpiece
                 volume, press the volume key while you are on a call.  To
                 temporarily silence the ringer, press the volume key
                 while the phone is ringing.  See Faxback Doc. # 48402 for
                 information on adjusting the ringer volume.

3.  TALK:  Lets you place a call, answer a call when the flip is open,
           answer Call Waiting and place a three-way call.

4.  Scroll Keys:  Allows you to scroll through the menu options and
                  displays.

5.  CLR:  Allows you to clear your last entry or back up one step when you
          are using the phone's menu.

6.  PWR:  Turns the phone on and off.

7.  Flip:  Lets you answer a call without pressing [TALK] or disconnect a
           call without pressing [END].

8.  MENU:  Allows access to the phone's menus.  Continue pressing to
           scroll through menu options.

9.  OK:  Allows you to save and recall phone book entries, as well as save
         any settings you select in the menu.

10.  END:  Lets you disconnect a call and return to standby mode.  You can
           also disconnect a call by closing the flip.

11.  Message Key:  Lets you access your voicemail and listen to your
                   messages.

12.  Antenna:  Calls are clearest when it's fully extended.

Display icons: What they tell you.

Display icons are all the symbols or text that shows up on your display
screen.  In short, they tell you what's going on.

  (antenna symbol)  Measures your current signal strength.  The more bars
            Signal  there are, the stronger the signal.

 (envelope symbol)  Indicates when you have messages waiting in voicemail.
          Messages

  (battery symbol)  Shows the level of your battery charge.  The more bars
           Battery  you see, the more power you have left.  When the
                    charge is low, the icon blinks and an alert tone is
                    sounded.

    (ROAM) Roaming  If the icon is not displayed, you are on the Sprint
                    PCS Network.  If the icon is displayed, you are
                    roaming in another PCS network and are not connected
                    to the Sprint PCS Network.

     (lock symbol)  Displayed when the phone is locked: you must enter
         Lock Icon  your four-digit lock code to unlock the phone.

   (IN USE) In Use  Tells you a call is in progress.

(NOSVC) No Service  Shows that you are outside a Sprint PCS Service Area
                    and cannot use your phone.

("no" bell symbol)  Indicates that you have turned off your phone's
        Ringer Off  ringer.

Function Keys: What they make happen.

[TALK]:  Press this key to place a call, to answer a call when the flip is
         open, to access a second incoming call or to initiate Three-Way
         Calling.

 [END]:  Press this key to disconnect a call, to temporarily silence the
         ringer when the flip is open or to exit out of a menu and return
         to the phone's standby display.

 [CLR]:  This key lets you do lots of things:

            To erase one character from the display screen, briefly press
            it once.

            To erase all the characters on the screen.

            To go back one step within a menu, briefly press it once.
 
  [OK]:  Press this key to store or recall a number in the phone's
         internal  phone book and to save menu settings.
 
[MENU]:  Press this key to display and scroll through the phone's main
         menu.

[MAIL]:  Press and hold this key to access your voicemail box.  (For more
