      sufficient charge?

Telephone switches on but no service:

    - is the antenna connected properly?

Telephone in service, but will not make calls:

    - is there a 'Call Restriction' (D2) option selected?

Telephone in service, but will not receive calls:

    - is the 'Incoming Call Bar' (D3) restriction set?

Do not attempt to open the case, as this will invalidate your warranty.

Refer any problems to an authorized representative or Service Agent.

Useful Tips

As with any cellular telephone, you will experience difficulty if you
try to make or receive calls in areas of low signal strength.

Do not attempt to make calls when outside the cellular coverage area,
or when in underground locations, metal structures, or elevators.

Before making a call, ensure that the signal strength is adequate (i.e.,
check that the SIG light is illuminated). If necessary, move to another
position (where a stronger signal can be obtained).

It will not be possible to establish a call when the NSVC indicator is
  displayed.
