Congratulations on your purchase of the CT-460 (TM) hands-free cordless
telephone from Plantronics, world leader in communication headsets! We
believe you will get years of enjoyable use from your phone. However,
should you encounter any difficulty, please refer to this handy guide for
suggestions.
If you hear sounds from other Press the CHNL key until you find a clear
cordless phones or 46/49 MHz channel.

If you hear interference Make sure the base unit antenna is extended
or static... all the way and positioned straight up.
Make sure the battery pack is fully charged.
Make sure both remote and base are located
away from other radio frequency devices
that could cause interference.
Fluorescent lights, or a large metal object
(such as a refrigerator) blocking the line
of sight from the base to the remote, may
also cause interference.
If the remote only works when Check that the battery pack has been
placed in the base unit... installed correctly and fully charged.
If the remote won't turn on Make sure both the base and remote ringers
or allow calls... are turned on, and you have pressed the
ON/OFF key to turn the remote on.
Make sure the remote is within range of the
base.
Check that the battery pack has been
installed correctly and fully charged.
Make sure the AC adapter and telephone line
cord are properly installed and firmly
plugged in.
Leave the remote out of the base for a few
minutes, then replace the remote in the base
unit cradle; after about two seconds you
should hear a beep through the headset to
indicate that the link between base and
remote has been re-established.
If none of the above work, disconnect the
remote battery pack for 10 seconds, unplug
and reconnect the base unit, reconnect the
battery pack, wait one minute, then put the
remote back in the base and let it charge
overnight.
If the charge light won't go Be sure to place the remote firmly in the
on when you place the remote base unit cradle.

Make sure the AC adapter is firmly plugged
into a working outlet.
Use a cotton swab dipped in alcohol to
clean the remote's metal contacts.
If you can't hear your caller Make sure the headset top is connected
properly, and the battery pack is fully
charged.
Check the volume control and increase the
volume if necessary.
Make sure the remote is within range of
the base.
If your caller can't hear you Make sure MUTE is turned off (the ON/OFF/
MUTE light doesn't flash).
Make sure your headset's microphone is
positioned close to your mouth.
Check that the remote is within range of
the base.
If the telephone's ringer Make sure the remote's RINGER ON/OFF switch
doesn't function... is set to ON.
Make sure the base units RINGER OFF/LO/HI
switch is set to LO or HI.
