(170-1094) Accessories Faxback Doc. # 37192

General

A new extensive range of accessories is available for your phone. You can
select the accessories that best accommodate your specific communication
needs.

For availability of the accessories, please check with your local dealer.

A few practical rules for accessory operation:

Keep the accessories out of small children's reach.

When you disconnect the power cord of any accessory, grasp and pull the
  plug, not the cord.

Check regularly that all cellular phone equipment in a vehicle is mounted
  and operating properly.

Installation of complex car equipment must be completed by qualified
  personnel only.

Use only batteries, chargers and accessories approved by the phone manufac-
turer. The use of any other types will invalidate any approval or warranty
applying to the phone, and may be dangerous.

Batteries

Consult your local cellular service provider for the battery options avail-
able for your phone.

The battery charging times depend on the type of battery and charger used.
(See the following example.)

Charging Time example:

                       ACH-8U LCH-6
Extended BBT-6S 4 h 30 min. 1 h 30 min.
950 mAh NiCad

NOTE: The above charging times are approximate.

Talk and Standby Time example:

                       TIME STANDBY
Extended BBT-6S 2 h 26 h
950 mAh NiCd

NOTE: A new battery's full performance is only achieved after two or three
       complete charge and discharge cycles!

A battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of times, but it will eventually wear out. When the operating time (talk-time and standby time)
is noticeably shorter than normal, it's time to buy a new battery.

A battery lasts longer and performs better if allowed to discharge from time
to time. You can do this by leaving your phone switched on until it turns
itself off or by using the battery discharge facility of any approved
accessory available for your phone. Do not attempt to discharge the battery
by any other means.

Leaving the battery in hot or cold places, such as in a closed car in summer
or winter conditions, will reduce the capacity and lifetime of the battery.
Always try to keep the battery between 59 degrees F (15 degrees C) and 77
degrees F (25 degrees C). A phone with a too hot or cold battery may temp-orarily not work, even when the battery is fully charged. The battery may
require cooling or warming first.

NOTES: The performance of NiMH batteries is particularly limited in temp-
        eratures below 14 degrees F (-10 degrees C).

Use the battery only for its intended purpose.

Never use any charger or battery which is damaged or worn out.

Do not short circuit the battery. Accidental short circuiting can
occur when a metallic object (coin, clip or pen) causes direct
connection of the + and - terminals of the battery (metal strips
on the back cover of the battery) e.g. when you carry a spare batt-
ery in your pocket or purse. Short circuiting the terminals may
damage the battery or the connecting object.

Dispose of used batteries in accordance with local regulations.
        Recycle!

Do not dispose of batteries in a fire!

CONTAINS: NICKEL CADMIUM BATTERY. MUST BE RECYCLED OR DISPOSED OF PROPERLY.
MUST NOT BE DISPOSED OF IN MUNICIPAL WASTE.
