Before Calling for Service

Is the unit locked?
See Electronic Lock, Faxback Doc. # 34518.

Is the NO SVC (No Service) indicator lit?
See Faxback Doc. # 34512 and Faxback Doc. # 34523.

Is a unique operating mode programmed?
Constant flashing of ROAM (Roam) while in your home service area may
indicate that an incompatible system type has been selected.  See System
Type Selection, Faxback Doc. # 34523.

Is the unit operating with non-standard settings?
You may have inadvertently selected improper operating characteristics.

Have you selected the wrong home system?
If your unit is programmed for two-system operation press Rcl, # to display
the active telephone number.  See Display Own Phone Number, Faxback Doc.

Have you charged the battery?
Charge the battery overnight with the internal charger.  Make sure the
charging LED is lit.
