UNDERSTANDING THE KEYS

PWR               Press and hold to turn the phone on or off.

ABC               Press to switch between alpha and numeric modes.

MENU              Press to use the menus.  Press MENU, then scroll
                  through the menu functions using the arrow keys.
                  Or, press MENU and the menu function number.

CLR               Press to delete characters one at a time.  Press and
                  hold to clear the entire display.  Also used to exit
                  the menu functions.

STO               Press to use a menu feature.  Also used to store or
                  move information in memory.

RCL               Press to recall information stored in memory.  Also
                  used to display hidden digits when the display is full.

UP ARROW          Press to increase or decrease volume during a call.
DOWN ARROW

                  Also used to scroll through the memory locations when
                  the display is clear.  Press DOWN ARROW to scroll
                  forward or UP ARROW to scroll backward.

                  Also used to scroll through the menu functions.  Press
                  MENU then DOWN ARROW to scroll forward or UP ARROW to
                  scroll backward.  (Hold the key down for continuous
                  scrolling.)

SEND              Press to dial a phone number or answer a call.  Or,
                  if the display is clear, press SEND then UP ARROW or
                  DOWN ARROW to recall the last five phone numbers
                  you dialed.

END               Press to end a phone call.  Or, press and hold to turn
                  on keyguard.

0 OPER -          Number keys.

9 WXYZ            NOTE:  To store punctuation (-, ., or :) in alpha mode
                         (ABC), repeatedly press the 1 key.

*,                Used for special phone service features.

VIEWING THE DISPLAY

AB                Indicates the network selected:

                  A               A system only
                  B               B system only
                  AB              Both systems
                  No Indicator    Home area only

ABC               Appears when you press ABC to view or enter
                  letters, such as names.

MENU              Appears when you press MENU to select
                  a menu functions.

BB                Indicates the number of a menu function or
                  memory location.

ON                Appears when the phone is on.

ROAM              Appears when you roam using your home system.  Flashes
                  when you roam using a non-home system.

IN USE            Appears during a call.

NO SVC            Appears when you are not within a supported
                  cellular service area.

                  NOTE:  The NO part of this indicator flashes when SID
                         screening is set to on and cellular service is
                         not available

symbol s                 Indicates the cellular signal strength.
                         The higher the bar, the stronger the signal.

B symbol                 Indicates the battery charge level.  The higher
                         the bar, the more charge is in the battery.
                         When the battery is fully charged, the phone
                         displays the entire bar.
