OPERATION SUMMARY

  Telescoping Antenna - Extends fully for maximum communication range.

  CHARGING Indicator - Lights to show the Handset is charging, when it is 
                       placed on the Base Unit.

    IN USE Indicator - Lights when TALK or CALL is pressed on the Handset.

  POWER/BATTery TEST - Lights when the power cord is plugged into an AC
  Indicator            outlet; flashes when the BATTery BACKUP TEST button
                       is pressed, if the battery is weak.

  INTERCOM Indicator - Lights when the INTERCOM switch is pressed.

         CALL Button - When pressed, signals the person carrying the
                       Handset.

     INTERCOM Button - When pressed in, initiates or answers an intercom
                       call.

   Charging Contacts - Provided power to charge the Handset, when it is
                       placed on the Base Unit.

      Ringer (Behind - Sounds when you receive an outside call while an
      Grille)          intercom call is in progress.  Or, it sounds when
                       the CALL key on the Handset is pressed.  The two
                       tones are different, so that you can tell an outside
                       call from an intercom call.

       AC Power Cord - Supplies AC power when plugged into an AC outlet. 
                       To assure best antenna function, unravel the cord
                       completely.

Telephone Connection - Provides connection to the phone line, when plugged

      Telephone Jack - Provides for connection of an optional regular
                       telephone for normal or intercom use.

   CODE ENTER Button - When pressed, prepares the unit for entry of your
                       personal security code.

  INTERCOM CALL TONE - Selects the volume (HI or LO) for intercom "ring."
  HI/LO Switch

    10/20 PPS Switch - Sets the speed of the pulse-dialing to 10 or 20
                       pulses per second.

NOTE:  On some older telephone systems the faster 20 PPS setting will
       cause erratic operation.  If you have problems, use the 10 PPS
       setting.

 BATTery BACKUP TEST - Allows checking of the backup battery condition.
 Button                When it is pressed, the POWER/BATT TEST indicator
                       will flash, if the battery is weak.

 Battery Compartment - Holds the backup battery, which provides power to 
                       hold the security code and the A/B Memory numbers in
                       memory during an AC power failure or when the Base
                       Unit is unplugged.
