Consists of 38 standard memory locations which may be used for storing
telephone numbers.

A name can be stored with the number in each location.

Each location can contain a number of up to 32 digits, and a name of up to
16 letters.

Only a number or a name can be displayed at any one time; use the A-Z
(alpha) key to switch between them.

Last number dialed is stored in location 0.

Your own telephone number is stored in location 39.

Location "##" is used for the "scratchpad" memory (ie, for numbers entered
during a call); refer to Scratchpad Memory for further details.

KEYING-IN NAMES

Press A-Z.  the "ALPHA" indicator will appear on the display to show that
alpha mode is selected, and that when you press a key, letters will appear
instead of numbers.

Press the key labeled with the letter you want.  Press it once to obtain
the first letter, twice to obtain the second, and three times to obtain the
third (be sure to select each letter before the "ALPHA" indicator flashes).
If you miss the letter you want, just keep pressing the key.  Select
further letters in the same way.

To correct any mistakes, press CLR.

If you want the same letter twice, either select it as above, wait until
the "ALPHA" indicator flashes and select it again; or select the letter,
press * then select the letter again.

To select a "space", press 0.

To select a "-", (hyphen) Press 1.

When you have finished keying in the name, leave alpha mode by pressing A-Z
again.  Now you can key in numbers.

EDITING NAMES OR NUMBERS

To delete the last number or digit entered, press CLR.

To delete the whole display, press and hold CLR.  NB:  This clears both the
name and the number.

DISPLAYING "HIDDEN" DIGITS

Telephone can display up to 16 digits.  If you key-in more than this, the
first digits will scroll off the side of the display.

To display these "hidden" digits.  Press and hold RCL, release to obtain
the original display.

If you wish to use the memory recall feature directly after having
displayed a long number, you will have to clear the long number (from the
display) first: to do this, press and hold CLR (ie, the RCL key will always
display hidden digits if a long number is present, otherwise it will invoke
the memory recall feature).

STORING INFORMATION

Stores information in a specific memory location.

Key in the area code and number, and (in alpha mode), the name (or first
the name, then the number).

The telephone will prompt you to specify a location number ("Store"), and
will indicate the next available empty location.

To store the information in the (first available) memory location (as
indicated in the top right-hand corner of the display) just press STO.
Otherwise, key in a memory location number.

NOTE:  There are three ways to enter a location number:

       (1)  Press STO and two digits, or
       (2) press STO and one digit and STO again, or
       (3) press STO and one digit, then wait.  The message "Stored" will
           be displayed, confirming that the information has been stored in
           the memory location indicated in the top right-corner of the
           display.  If all memory locations are occupied, the message "No
           Space" is displayed.

If you try to store information in a memory location that is occupied, the
message "Replace Content?" will be displayed.

    To overwrite (delete) the existing information, Press STO (within 8
    seconds).

    If you do not want to overwrite the existing information, either press
    CLR or wait until the message "Store Not Done" appears.  The
    information you tried to store will then reappear on the display, and
    you can store it in a different memory location, as described above.

    If you attempt to store a name that has been stored previously, the
    "Replace Name" will be displayed.

CLEARING INFORMATION FROM A MEMORY LOCATION

Permanently erases the contents of a memory location.

CAUTION:  Once erased, the contents cannot be recalled.

Press and hold CLR to clear display.

Press STO.

The telephone will prompt you to specify a memory location number
("Store").

Key in the number of the memory location you want to clear.  The message
"Replace Content?" will appear.

Press STO.  The message "Stored" and the memory location number will be
displayed briefly, confirming that the memory location has been cleared
(number and alpha characters).

RECALLING INFORMATION BY MEMORY LOCATION NUMBER

Press RCL.  The telephone prompts you to specify the memory location
("Recall").  Key in the memory location number.

NOTE:  There are three ways to enter a location number.

       (1) Press RCL and two digits, or
       (2) Press RCL and one digit and RCL again, or
       (3) Press RCL and one digit then wait.  The telephone number stored
           in that memory location will be displayed.  If the selected
           location is empty, "Empty" will be displayed.

To check the name stored in the same location, press A-Z.  (If no name was
stored, the indicator display will be shown).  To return to the number,
press A-Z again.

To call the number, with either number or name displayed, press SEND.

RECALLING INFORMATION BY NAME

Press A-Z.

Key in the name, or the first letters of the name.

Press RCL.

The name, and its memory location number are displayed.  (If the name does
not exist, "Not Found" will be displayed.

To check the associated number, press A-Z again.

To call the number, press SEND (either name or number can be displayed).

SEARCHING FOR A NUMBER

To display the contents of occupied memory locations, press RCL and /\ or
\/ to reach the location required.

If you have just recalled a memory location by number, the searching will
start from that location.

To call the displayed number, press SEND.

SEARCHING FOR A NAME

Press A-Z (to select alpha mode).

To display the contents of occupied memory locations, press RCL then /\ or
\/ to reach the location required (arranged in alphabetical order).

To make the search faster, (with alpha mode selected) just key in the first
letter of the name you are looking for and then press RCL.  The first name
beginning with this letter will be displayed.  To reach other locations
containing names beginning with the same letter, press \/ or /\ (within
15s.).

To display the number associated with a displayed name, press A-Z again. 
To carry on searching, press A-Z then /\ or \/.

To call the number press SEND (with either name or number displayed).

SPEED DIALING

Allows you to quickly dial a number stored in a memory location; the number
can be recalled by memory location number, or by the name stored in a
memory location.

With the display clear, key-in the number of the memory location or, with
alpha mode selected (press A-Z) key-in the name stored, then press SEND.

Eg, to speed dial location 2, press 2 SEND.

The number will be displayed briefly, and dialed automatically.  (If the
location is empty, the message "Empty" is displayed.)

SCRATCHPAD MEMORY

During a call, a number may be entered and stored (number is cleared when
telephone is switched off).

Only one number can be stored at any one time; any number previously stored
will be overwritten.

To store a number during a call, key-in the area code and number, and press
STO # #.

To recall the number, press RCL # #.

To call the displayed number, press SEND.

To store the number in a permanent memory location, recall it, then store
as described in "Storing Information".

DISPLAYING YOUR OWN TELEPHONE NUMBER

To display your number (stored in memory location 39), either:

    Press RCL 39, or

    Press F then /\ or \/ until "NAM Select" appears, then press STO.
    The currently-selected number will be displayed.
