| Step 1: Turning the Weatheradio On | |

| Turn on the Weatheradio by turning the VOLUME away from OFF until it clicks. WEATHER and ALRT ON flash on the display. | |
| Step 2: Entering Program Mode | |

| Set the PROGRAM/ALERT ON/ALERT OFF switch on the left side of the Weatheradio to PROGRAM. The Weatheradio displays the preset weather broadcast channel and frequency number. | |
| Step 3: Opening the Front Panel Cover | |

| Lift the front panel cover using the slotted indent on either side. | |
| Step 4: Selecting a Channel | |

| Press
a number key (1-7) to select the corresponding numbered channel
broadcasting in your area. The Weatheradio displays the selected channel. Note: If you receive a NOAA broadcast on more than one channel, the one with the best reception might not be the one broadcasting information for your location. |

| To find information on your local weather frequencies, contact your local RadioShack or go to NOAA Weather Radio Service. | |
| Step 5: Confirming the Channel Selected | |

| Press
YES to confirm the selected channel. The Weatheradio beeps and the alert
types TONE or VOICE appear on the display. Go to Setting the Alert Type to finish programming your portable Weatheradio or continue to Step 6 to exit programming mode. |

| Step 6: Exiting Programming Mode | |

| To exit programming mode, set PROGRAM/ALERT ON/ALERT OFF on the left side of the Weatheradio to ALERT ON or ALERT OFF. WEATHER and the corresponding alert status (ALRT OFF or ALRT ON) appears. | |
