If your Weatheradio is not working as it should, these suggestions might 
help you eliminate the problem.  If the Weatheradio still does not operate 
properly, take it to your local RadioShack store for assistance.

Problem(s):                   Suggestion(s):

No power.                     Make sure the Weatheradio is connected to
                              AC power and a backup battery is installed.

No weather broadcast when     Make sure the telescoping antenna is fully
You press WEATHER.            Extended.  See "Selecting a Location" on
                              Faxback Doc. # 63414.

                              Make sure the Weatheradio is set to the
                              NOAA channel that is being broadcast in
                              your area. See "Programming the Weatheradio"
                              on Faxback Doc. # 63414.

CHECK OP (check operation)    The Weatheradio has not received any type of 
Appears.                      SAME alert signal (including test or demo
                              signals) for about one week.  Make sure the
                              FIPS code(s) stored in memory are correct.

                              Make sure the telescoping antenna is fully
                              extended.  See "Selecting a Location" on
                              Faxback Doc. # 63414.

The Weatheradio does not      In some areas, your Weatheradio might 
Receive WWVB.                 Receive WWVB only during nighttime hours.

                              On very cloudy and stormy days, the radio
                              signal might not be strong enough to set the
                              clock.

                              Make sure the time antenna is mounted near a
                              window (see "Selecting a Location" on
                              Faxback Doc. # 63414.

The Weatheradio is not re-    Make sure you programmed the correct FIPS
sponding properly to NWS      code(s) into the Weatheradio's memory.  See
weather alert broadcasts.     "Programming the Weatheradio" on Faxback
                              Doc. # 63414.

                              Make sure ALERT/PROGRAM is set to ALERT.
