You need a 9-volt battery to power the Weatheradio.  We recommend an
alkaline battery such as Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-553.  Follow these steps
to install the battery.

1.  Remove the battery compartment cover by sliding the cover in the
    direction of the arrow.

2.  Snap the 9-volt battery onto the battery connector and place it in the
    compartment.

3.  Replace the compartment cover.

CAUTION:  Remove the battery if you do not plan to use the Weatheradio for
          a week or more.  Weak or dead batteries can leak chemicals that
          might damage the radio.
