  Handle the thermometer gently.

  Avoid storing the thermometer in dusty areas.

  Keep the thermometer dry.  If it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately.

Modifying or tampering with the thermometer's internal components can 
cause a malfunction an might void the thermometer's warranty.  If your 
thermometer is not performing properly, take it to your local RadioShack 
store for assistance.
