Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer w/Dual Display
(630-1024) Operation Faxback Doc. # 52869
Viewing the Current Temperatures
Your thermometer is designed to accurately measure:
Outdoor temperatures from -58 to 158 degrees F. (-50 to 70 degrees C.).
Indoor temperatures from 32 to 122 degrees F. (0 to 50 degrees C.).
Once you install a battery, the thermometer automatically displays the
current outdoor and indoor temperatures as indicated by the labels
(OUTDOOR and INDOOR) above and below the display.
The thermometer measures the temperature and updates its display every 10
seconds.
Note: If your thermometer displays HH.H or LL.L (or a reading that is
outside its accuracy range), this means that the temperature has
exceeded or fallen below the thermometer's accuracy range. When
the temperature returns to within the accuracy range, the display
returns to normal.
Changing the Degree Format
Your thermometer is preset to display all temperatures in the Fahrenheit
format. To change the display format, follow these steps.
1. remove the stand, if necessary, then remove the battery compartment
cover.
2. Use the tip of a pointed object (such as a straightened paper clip) to
set the small switch above the battery to C. degrees (Celsius) or F.
degrees (Fahrenheit).
3. Replace the battery compartment cover.
4. Press RESET. The thermometer briefly displays MAX, MIN, MEM, and
-188.8 degrees E, then the current temperature appears in the selected
format.
Note: Pressing RESET also clears the MAX and MIN temperatures stored
in memory.
Viewing/Resetting the MAX and MIN Temperatures
The thermometer stores the highest and lowest indoor and outdoor
temperatures.
To view the highest (MAX) outdoor and indoor temperatures recorded since
the last memory reset, press MAX. MAX and MEM (memory) and the highest
temperatures appear. Press MAX again to return to the current temperature
display.
To view the lowest (MIN) outdoor and indoor temperatures recorded since
the last memory reset, press MIN. MIN and MEM and the lowest temperatures
appear. Press MIN again to return to the current temperature display.
To clear all stored outdoor and indoor MAX and MIN temperatures and reset
them to the current temperature, press RESET. The thermometer briefly
displays MAX, MIN, MEM, and -188.8 degrees E, then the current temperature
appears for both readings.
