design and craftsmanship.  The following suggestions will help you care
for the thermometer so you an enjoy it for years.

  Handle the thermometer gently and carefully.  Don't drop it.

  Keep the thermometer away from dust and dirt.

  Wipe the thermometer with a damp cloth occasionally to keep it looking
  new.

  Use only a fresh battery of the required size and recommended type.
  Always remove an old or weak battery.  It can leak chemicals that can
  destroy electronic circuits.

Modifying or tampering with the thermometer's internal components can
cause a malfunction and might invalidate the thermometer's warranty.  If
your thermometer is not performing as it should, take it to your local
RadioShack store for assistance.
