Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer
(630-1009A) Preparation Faxback Doc. # 49324

MOUNTING

You can mount the thermometer on a wall or set it on any flat surface
using its built-in stand. For measuring the outside temperature, the
thermometer's outdoor sensor cord extends up to 10 feet and is permanently
attached to the thermometer.

When selecting a location for the thermometer or sensor:

Do not mount the thermometer or sensor where it will be in direct
  sunlight.

Keep the thermometer and sensor away from hot or cold sources such as
stoves, heating and air conditioning vents, and radiators.

Do not place the thermometer in water or anywhere it might get wet.
Only the sensor and its cord are waterproof.

Mounting the Thermometer

You can mount the thermometer on a clean, dry surface using the adhesive
strips on the back of the thermometer, or using a screw (not supplied).

To mount it with the adhesive strips, peel off the paper covering from the
strips. Then firmly press the thermometer against a smooth surface at the
desired location.

To mount the thermometer with a screw, drive a small screw into the
mounting surface at the desired location. Align the keyhole slot on the
back of the thermometer with the screw on the wall, and slide the
thermometer downward to secure it.

Using the Stand

To place the thermometer on a flat surface, pull the bottom of the built
in stand away from the back of the thermometer.

Mounting the Outdoor Sensor

Drive a small nail or screw (not supplied) into the mounting surface at
the desired location. Then route the sensor's cord through a window and
hang the metal rod's loop on the nail or screw.

Note: If the loop does not fit over the nail or screw's head, thread the
nail or screw through the loop before driving it into the mounting
       surface.
