INSTALLING THE BATTERY

Your thermometer requires one AAA battery (not supplied) for power.  For
the best performance and longest life, we recommend an alkaline battery,
such as RadioShack Cat. No. 23-555.

Follow these steps to install the battery.

1.  To remove the battery compartment cover, press and slide the cover in
    the direction of the arrow.

2.  Install the battery in the compartment as indicated by the polarity
    symbols (+ and -) marked inside.

3.  Replace the cover.

Notes:  After the battery is installed, the thermometer displays the
        temperature after about 3 seconds.  See "Operation" in Faxback
        Doc. # 49325.

        If the thermometer does not work after you install the battery,
        remove the battery and install it again.

        If the display dims, replace the battery.
