Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer
(630-1021) Operation Faxback Doc. # 44755
Viewing the Current Temperatures
Your thermometer is designed to accurately measure:
Outdoor temperatures from -58 to 158 degrees F (-50 to 70 degrees C).
Indoor temperatures from 32 to 122 degrees F (0 to 50 degrees C).
Once you install a battery, the thermometer automatically displays the
current outdoor and indoor temperatures in the Fahrenheit (F) format, as
indicated by the labels (OUTDOOR and INDOOR) above and below the display.
The thermometer measures the temperature and updates its display every 10
seconds.
NOTES: You can set the thermometer to display the temperature in Celsius.
See "Changing the Degree Format" below.
If your thermometer displays HH.H degrees C or HH.H degrees F (or a
reading that is outside its accuracy range), this means that the
temperature has exceeded or fallen below the thermometer's accuracy
range.
When the temperature returns to within the accuracy range, the
display returns to normal.
Viewing/Resetting the MAX and MIN Temperatures
To view the highest (MAX) outdoor and indoor temperatures recorded since
the last memory reset, press MAX so MAX and MEM (memory) appear. Press it
again to return to the current temperature display.
To clear all stored outdoor and indoor MAX and MIN temperatures and reset
them to the current temperatures, press RESET. The thermometer briefly
displays MAX, MIN, MEM and -188.8 degree E, then the current temperatures
appear.
Changing the Degree Format
Your thermometer is preset to display all temperatures in the Fahrenheit
format. To change the display format, follow these steps.
1. Remove the battery compartment cover.
2. Use the tip of a pointed object (such as a pen) to set the small switch
above the battery to degree C for the Celsius format, or degree F for
the Fahrenheit format.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover.
4. Press RESET. The thermometer briefly displays MAX, MIN, MEM and -188.8
degrees E, then the current temperatures appear in the selected format.
NOTE: Pressing RESET also clears the MAX and MIN temperatures stored in
memory. See "Viewing/Resetting the MAX and MIN Temperatures"
above.
