Mounting The Thermometer and Remote Sensor
Choosing a Location
The remote sensor measures the outdoor temperature. Pick a place for the
sensor outdoors that is near a window and no more than about 9 feet from
the thermometer.
CAUTIONS: Do not place the thermometer or the sensor in direct sunlight.
Keep the thermometer and the sensor away from stoves, heating
and air conditioning vents, radiators and other sources of hot
or cold air.
Do not place the thermometer in water or in a place where it
might get wet.
Mounting the Thermometer
Thread the supplied screw into the wall until the screw's head is about 1/4
inch from the wall's surface. Place the keyhole slot on the back of the
thermometer over the screw's head and slide the thermometer down until it
locks into place.
You can also place the thermometer on a level surface using its built-in
stand. Place your finger into the opening at the bottom back of the thermo-
meter and pull the stand toward you. Then guide the metal support into the
hook on the back of the stand.
Mounting the Remote sensor
1. Route the outdoor sensor's wire through a window opening.
2. Press the supplied suction cup onto the window's outside surface.
3. Hang the sensor's plastic loop on the suction cup's hook.
