Weather Forecaster/Thermometer
(630-1025) Operation Faxback Doc. # 39409

USING THE FORECASTER

Your Forecaster can display these weather conditions:

Sunny, Partly Cloudy, Cloudy, Rainy, Stormy

Note: The Forecaster works most accurately when it remains at the same
altitude for at least 24 hours.

Selecting Fahrenheit or Celsius

The display can show the temperature in Fahrenheit or Celsius. Follow these
steps to change the temperature scale.

1. Remove the mounting bracket on the back of the Forecaster by pushing in
the top middle notch and pulling off the bracket.

2. Set the switch to "C" for Celsius or "F" for Fahrenheit.

3. Replace the bracket.

Checking the Maximum/Minimum Temperature

Remove the mounting bracket on the back of the Forecaster. Then press MEM
to recall the highest indoor and outdoor temperatures recorded with the
Forecaster since the last time you reset it. Arrow up appears to the left
of both temperatures.

Press MEM again to recall the lowest indoor and outdoor temperatures.
Arrow down appears to the left of both temperatures.

Press and hold MEM for about 2 seconds to erase the maximum and minimum
temperature memory.

Storm Indicator

The Forecaster predicts stormy conditions when the atmospheric pressure
drops significantly over a few hours. The storm indicator flashes when
stormy conditions are detected, and continues to flash until the conditions
that caused it abate (clear).

RESETTING THE FORECASTER

If the Forecaster does not operate correctly, remove the mounting bracket
on the back of the Forecaster and press RESET using a pointed object, such
as a straightened paper clip.

Note: It takes about 24 hours for the Forecaster to resume accurate
       forecasting after you reset it.
