Inside/Outside Car/RV Thermometer
(630-1019) Mounting Faxback Doc. # 18051

The thermometer can be mounted on your vehicle's dashboard or stand by
itself on any flat surface using its built-in stand. For measuring the
outside temperature, the thermometer's sensor cord extends up to 10 feet
and is permanently attached to the thermometer.

CAUTIONS: Do not mount the thermometer or sensor where they will be in
           direct sunlight.

Do not place the thermometer in water or in a location where it
is likely to get wet. Only the sensor and its cord are
           waterproof.

Mounting the Thermometer

NOTE: For the best results, mount the bracket on a clean, dry surface.

1. Slide the mounting bracket off the thermometer.

2. Peel off the paper to expose the adhesive tape on the back of the
bracket, then firmly press the bracket against the surface at the
    desired location.

3. The sensor's cord is permanently attached to the left side of the
thermometer. To mount the sensor to the right of the thermometer,
re-direct the cord by pressing it into the groove on the back of the
    thermometer.

4. Slide the thermometer down into the bracket until it locks in place.

Mounting the Sensor

1. Press the supplied suction-cup base against a clean, flat, glass or
metal surface on the outside of your vehicle.

CAUTION: When mounting the sensor on a vehicle's windshield, be sure
you place it out of the windshield wiper's path to avoid
              damaging the sensor.

2. Place the cup-shaped backing over the screw on the suction cup, then
tighten the wing-shaped sensor clip down so the backing tightens
    against the suction cup.

3. Insert the sensor into either side of the sensor clip.

4. Gather any excess cord and place it out of the way inside the vehicle.

CAUTION: Be sure the sensor's cord is not pinched or placed where it
is likely to get worn or damaged easily.

5. To remove the suction-cup base, remove the sensor and unscrew the
sensor clip a few turns, then grasp the center of the suction-cup base
and pull it up to one side.

NOTES: To mount the thermometer's sensor in a smaller or restricted
place, you can use the smaller suction cup (supplied). Simply
press the suction cup's base against a clean, flat, glass or metal
surface, then insert the tip of the sensor into the sleeve on the
        back of the suction cup.

To mount the thermometer's sensor so it clips at the top of
a vehicle window, for example, slip the sensor's cord into the
small eye on the supplied sensor clip, then press the tip of the
sensor into the other eye. Then slide the clip over the edge of
the desired surface so it stays firmly in place.

Using the Stand

To place the thermometer on a flat surface, slide the thermometer out of
its mounting bracket and pull the built-in stand away from the back of the
thermometer.
