RESETTING THE GAME

If the game does not work properly, you might need to reset it.

To reset the game, remove and reinstall the batteries.  If the game still
does not work properly, you might need to replace the batteries.

Warning:  Never let children play with batteries.  Swallowing a button-
          cell can be fatal.  To avoid the risk of explosion, do not
          recharge, open or heat a button-cell battery or dispose of it in
          fire.

TURNING THE SOUND ON OR OFF

You can turn the sound on or off anytime.  To add sound, press SOUND so
SIGNAL appears on the display.

To turn off the sound effects, press sound so SIGNAL disappears from the
display.

AUTOMATIC POWER-OFF

To conserve battery power, the poker game automatically turns off after
about 2 minutes if you do not press a key.

To turn on the game and continue play, press DEAL/DRAW.  You resume your
last game where you left off.

WINNING HANDS

You begin the game with 100 points.  To increase your score, you must have
a winning hand.  This chart lists the winning hands and the points each
receives.

Straight Flush          5 consecutive cards of the same suit.       250

4 of a Kind             4 cards of the same value.                  125

Full House              3 cards of the same value and any pair.     40

Straight                5 consecutive cards of any suit.            20

3 of a Kind             3 cards of the same value.                  15

2 Pairs                 One pair of cards with the same value       10
                        and another set of cards with the same value.

1 Pair Jacks            Pair of Aces, Kings, Queens, or Jacks        5
or Higher

Notes:  The game plays with a standard 52-card deck.

        Aces can be high or low.

PLAYING THE GAME

Follow these steps to play the game.

1.  If the display is off, press DEAL/DRAW to turn on the game.

2.  Press PLAYER to select one or two players.  If you play by yourself,
    P1 and 100 appear on the top left of the display.  If you play the
    game with a friend, 100 appears on the right of the display, too.

3.  Press DEAL/DRAW to start the game.  A bet of 5 points is automatically
    deducted from your total points, and you are dealt 5 cards.

Note:  If you are in a game and want to start over, press NEW GAME.  100
       points show on the display.  Press DEAL/DRAW to start a new game.

4.  Press HOLD/CANCEL for each card you want to keep.  HOLD appears below
    the card(s) you chose to hold.  If you change your mind, press
    HOLD/CANCEL again to cancel your selection.

Note:  You can discard all five cards if the game deals a bad hand, but
       you only have one chance to improve your hand.

5.  Press DEAL/DRAW.  The game deals new cards to replace your discards
    and complete the hand.  GAME OVER appears on the display.

If you have a winning hand, three beeps sound twice (if the sound is on),
the winning cards and WIN flash on the display, and the game adds the
correct number of points to your score.  WIN flashing on the display
until you press DEAL/DRAW to start a new hand.

Note:  If you play the game with two players, the player with the winning
       hand continues to play the game until he/she loses.

       If you have a losing hand, the 5 cards and GAME OVER appear on the
       display.

       If you have a losing hand, press DEAL/DRAW to start a new hand or
       switch to the other player.

       When you place your bet with a score of 0, GAME OVER appears and 0
       flashes on the display.  If you are playing with two players, the
       other player's score flashes.  To begin a new game, press NEW GAME.
       The score resets to 100.
