Radio Controlled Helicopter
(600-2771) Batteries Faxback Doc. # 61741

Installing Batteries

Your Radio Control Helicopter requires two AA batteries (not supplied).
You also need one 9V battery (not supplied) for the transmitter. For the
best performance and longest life, we recommend RadioShack alkaline
batteries.

WARNING: Dispose of old batteries promptly and properly. Do not burn or
         bury them.

CAUTIONS: Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended
          type.

Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries
(standard, alkaline, or rechargeable) or rechargeable batteries
          of different capacities.

In the Helicopter

1. Slide ON/OFF on the bottom of the helicopter's tail to OFF.

2. Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the screw on the battery
compartment cover and remove the cover.

3. Put the batteries in the compartment as indicated by the polarity
symbols (+ and -) marked inside.

4. Replace the cover and secure it with the screw.

If the helicopter moves slowly or not at all, replace the batteries.

CAUTION: If you do not plan to use the helicopter for a week or more,
remove the batteries. Batteries can leak chemicals that can
         destroy electronic parts.

In the Transmitter

1. Press and slide the battery compartment cover off the transmitter.

2. Place the battery in the compartment according to the polarity symbols
    (+ and -) marked inside.

3. Replace the cover and snap it shut.

When the transmitter's range decreases, replace the battery.
