RC Play Buggy
(600-2763) Preparation Faxback Doc. # 56055

Your RC (radio-controlled) Play Buggy is fun for children ages four and
up. You can watch it race forward or spin in circles. Its gearshift and
horn sound just like a real car!

Installing the Batteries

Your buggy requires four AA batteries, and its controller requires one 9V
battery (neither supplied). For the best performance and longest life, we
recommend RadioShack alkaline batteries.

WARNING: Dispose of batteries promptly and properly; do not bury or burn
          them.

CAUTIONS: Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended
          type.

Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries
(standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries
          of different capacities.

If you do not plan to use the buggy for several days, remove the
batteries. Batteries can leak chemicals that can destroy
          electronic parts.

To install the batteries:

1. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws on the buggy's and
controller's battery compartment covers, then remove the covers.

2. Install four AA batteries into the buggy's battery compartment, and a
9V battery into the controller's battery compartment and on top of the
attached ribbon, as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and -) marked
    inside the compartments.

3. Replace the covers.

When the RC Play Buggy moves slowly or not at all, replace the batteries
in both the controller and the buggy.
