Playing With The Learn 'n Fun
To turn on the Learn 'n Fun, rotate the activity knob slowly and point the
arrows on the knob to select the icon for any one of the six activities
described in the following sections. A short melody sounds to introduce
the activity.
To turn off the Learn 'n Fun, rotate the activity knob to OFF. To save
power, always turn off the Learn 'n Fun when you finish playing with it.
Notes: If you do not respond to a question within 30 seconds, the Learn
'n Fun repeats the question every 30 seconds until you either
enter an answer or turn off the Learn 'n Fun.
If the Learn 'n Fun is idle for about 3 minutes, a short melody
sounds to remind you that it is still on. Press any button to
restart the selected activity, or rotate the activity knob to OFF.
After you answer a question, you hear either "Right!" or "Wrong.
Please try again."
Say The Letter
This activity introduces the 26 letters of the alphabet. You hear, "Hello!
Let's study English together."
Press a button to hear the button's letter. For example, press A and you
hear "A."
Spelling Game S U N
This activity reinforces spelling skills. You hear the question, "How do
you spell ____ ?" For example, "How do you spell orange?" Spell the word
by pressing the correct keys, then press enter.
If you do not enter the correct answer after three tries, you hear the
correct spelling, then the Learn 'n Fun asks you to spell another word.
Find The Picture
This activity tests the child's memory through identification of shapes.
You hear, "Where is the ____ ?" For example, "Where is the tree?" Press
the button with the correct picture.
If you do not press the correct answer after three tries, you hear the
correct spelling, then the Learn 'n Fun asks you to find another picture.
Pronunciation Practice A B C
This activity introduces 26 words and their spelling. You hear,
"Pronunciation practice." Press any button and you hear the pronunciation
and spelling of a word that begins with that letter. For example, press A
and you hear, "Apple. A-P-P-L-E." Practice by repeating the word and its
spelling.
Find The Letter ?
This activity tests a child's memory through identification of letters.
You hear, "Where is _____ ?" For example, "Where is R?" Press the button
with the correct letter.
If you do not press the correct letter after three tries, you hear the
pronunciation and spelling of a word that begins with the letter. For
example, if you select R, you hear the spelling for "Ribbon."
26 Melodies
You can play 26 different melodies just for fun! Simply press any alphabet
key and the Learn 'n Fun plays a different melody.
