TURNING THE GAME ON/OFF

To turn the game on, press DEAL/DRAW.

To conserve battery power, the poker game automatically turns off after
about 2 minutes if you do not press a key.

To turn the game back on and continue play, press DEAL/DRAW again.

PLAYING WITH OR WITHOUT SOUND EFFECTS

To turn off the sound effects, hold down SOUND until (((o))) disappears
from the display.

To turn on sound effects, hold down SOUND until (((o))) appears on the
display.

WINNING HANDS

You begin the game with 100 points.  To increase the score, you must have
a winning hand.  The following chart lists the types of winning hands,
based on a 5-point bet.

Royal Flush                A, K, Q, J, 10 of the same suit            5000

Straight Flush             5 consecutive cards of the same suit        250

4 of a Kind                4 cards of the same value                   125

Full House                 3 cards of the same value and any pair       40

Straight                   5 consecutive cards of any suit              20

3 of a Kind                3 cards of the same value                    15

2 pair                     One pair of cards with the same value and    10
                           another pair of cards with the same value

1 Pair Jacks or Higher     Pair of Jacks, Queens, Kings or Aces          5

Notes:  The game plays with a standard 52-card deck.

        Aces can be high or low.

PLAYING THE GAME

1.  If the display is off, press DEAL/DRAW to turn on the game.  Then
    press DEAL/DRAW again to start the game.  A 5 point bet is
    automatically placed, and you are dealt 5 cards.

    Note:  If you are in a game and want to start over, reinstall the
           battery then press DEAL/DRAW.  100 points appears on the
           display.  Then press DEAL/DRAW again to start a new game.

2.  Press HOLD for each card you want to hold.  HELD appears on the
    card(s) you chose to hold.  If you change your mind, press HOLD again
    to cancel your selection.

    Note:  You can choose to discard all five cards if the game deals a
           bad hand, but you only have one chance to improve your hand.

3.  Press DEAL/DRAW again.  The game deals new cards to complete the hand.

If you have a winning hand, a short melody plays, the winning cards and
WIN flash on the display, and the game adds points to your score.  WIN
keeps flashing on the display until you press DEAL/DRAW for another hand.

If you have a loosing hand, the 5 cards and GAME OVER appear on the
display, and the game deducts 5 points from your score.

When you start another hand with a score of 0, GAME OVER appears and 0
flashes on the display.  To start a new game, press DEAL/DRAW.  The score
resets to 100.  Press DEAL/DRAW again to start the game.
