Radio-Controlled School Bus

Your RadioShack Radio-Controlled School bus lets you become a school bus
driver! As you drive your bus, it plays music and the passengers move up
and down.

The bus comes in two frequencies - 27 MHz and 49 MHz so you and your
friends can drive together. Check your bus' box to see which frequency
your bus uses.

You need four AA batteries (not supplied) for the school bus and one
9-volt battery (not supplied) for its transmitter.

Installing Batteries

CAUTIONS:

Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended type.

Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries
(standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of
   different capacities.

Never leave dead or weak batteries in the school bus or the transmitter.

Dispose of batteries promptly and properly; do not bury or burn them.

If you will not be using the bus for a week or more, remove the
batteries from both the transmitter and the bus. Batteries can leak
chemicals that can damage electronic parts.

NOTE: To protect young children, the battery compartment covers do not
open easily. You need a coin to open them.

In the Transmitter

The transmitter requires one 9-volt battery. For the best performance and
longest life, we recommend an alkaline battery, such as RadioShack Cat.
No 23-553.

Follow these steps to install the transmitter's battery.

   1. Insert a coin in the battery compartment cover's slot. Then twist
the coin to loosen the cover and slide it open.

   2. Put a battery in the compartment as indicated by the polarity
symbols (+ and -) marked inside.

   3. Replace the cover and snap it shut.

When the transmitters range decreases, replace its battery.

In the Bus

The bus requires four AA batteries. For the bet performance and longest
life, we recommend alkaline batteries, such as Cat. No. 23-552.

   1. Slide ON/OFF on the bottom of the bus to OFF.

   2. Insert a coin in the slot in the battery compartment cover's latch.
Turn the latch counterclockwise until it stops, then lift and remove
       the cover.

   3. Put the batteries in the compartment as indicted by the polarity
symbols (+ and -) marked inside.

   4. Replace the cover and turn the latch clockwise until it stops to
       secure it.

NOTE: If the bus moves slowly or not at all, replace all our batteries.
