Installing Batteries

The Show n' Learn Laptop is powered by two AA batteries (not supplied). For
the best performance, we recommend alkaline batteries, such as Radio Shack
Cat. No. 23-552/557.

CAUTIONS:  Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type.

           Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries
           (standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries
           of different capacities.

1.  Remove the screw from the battery compartment with a Phillips screw-
    driver.

2.  Put the screwdriver tip into the screw hole and lift the battery
    compartment cover.

3.  Install the batteries as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and -)
    inside the compartment.

4.  Replace the cover and secure it with the screw.

Replace the batteries if the laptop does not work.

CAUTIONS:  Never leave dead or weak batteries in the laptop.

           If you will not be using the laptop for a week or more, remove
           the batteries.  Batteries can leak chemicals that can damage
           electronic parts.

           Always dispose of old batteries promptly and properly; do not
           bury or burn them.
